Conference 2010

General Information

Schools across the Bay Area, and beyond, are turning their asphalt schoolyards into vibrant, green outdoor classrooms, and you can do it, too!

Please join us at the

2010 Growing Greener School Grounds Conference

September 24th & 25th


The 2010 conference will feature hands-on workshops where you can learn how to use the sun as a teaching resource, understand the basics of organic gardening, build your own planting beds, create colorful mosaics, install irrigation, and more. In addition, many workshops will cover how to connect the outdoor classroom to the education content standards at all grade levels.

Schedule

Friday, September 24th @ St. Mary’s Conference Center, 1111 Gough St (at Geary) in San Francisco
Lunch: Meetings
5pm-8:30pm: Resource Fair and Keynote Speaker -Will Rogers of the Trust for Public Land

Saturday, September 25th
8:30am: Site Check-in -bagels and coffee will be provided at each site
9am-12pm: Morning Workshops
Lunch -we recommend bringing your own bag lunch, or you may purchase one at the Google Checkout below while registering.
1pm-4pm: Afternoon Workshops
